Serialio Scanfob 2002 Quick Start Manual

Setup for connecting Scanfob® 2002 via Bluetooth as a Keyboard*
To use with SerialMagic or SerialMagic Gears, use the other side of this sheet.
Step 1: Connect Scanfob® 2002 to powered USB port for about 4 hours

Step 2: Scan Keyboard-HID code to set the Scanfob® 2002 to keyboard mode.
Step 3: Scan the "Make Discoverable & Connectable" code below or press the small
button on the Scanfob® 2002 for five seconds, and the LED will rapidly flash blue.

Step 4: Start Bluetooth discovery from the Phone/PC and pick the Scanfob ® scanner
when the "Scanfob..." name is shown on the Phone/PC.
Step 5: The Scanfob® 2002 will begin beeping, the red scan beam will remain on, and the
phone/PC will display some numbers. Scan the number barcodes to the right in the order
presented by the phone or PC, then Scan the END barcode when done and the Scanfob®
2002 should beep, and the LED will slowly flash blue showing a good Bluetooth
connection. If a mistake is made scanning, scan End, and go back to Step 4.

Step 6: Scan one of the following codes as appropriate

iOS/Windows
(prefix=NONE, suffix=CR)
Step 7 (optional): For iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch, scan "Enable iOS Keyboard Toggle"
below (only need to scan once). Press the small button on the Scanfob® 2002 to toggle
the on-screen keyboard.

When done using the Scanfob® 2002 scan the "Disconnect and Radio Off" code below or hold the small button
for 5 seconds. To reconnect scan "Reconnect to Last Device" below or hold the big button for 5 seconds.
The following codes are handy for disconnecting and reconnecting the Scanfob 2002.
