Connecting the Controller to T6 Radios

The controller connects to T6 radios through a 6-wire or 5-wire link. The connections to the controller are
detailed in
Fig 7-1
(no phantom keying) or
used for these connections with the cable's braid connected to the D-type plug's shell as shown in
Fig
4-1.
The following instruction involves connecting the radio lines to the controller's Facilities connector.
The controller's Facilities connector is used to terminate other external connections including the dc
input supply. Before making any connections, read through the rest of this installation topic and
decide which facilities are required. Then wire all required facilities to the 15-way D-type plug. The
Facilities connector pin-outs are listed in

Connecting Controllers in Parallel

Up to four T6MC controllers can be used in parallel with T6 radios. Two controllers connected in parallel
are shown in
Fig 7-1

Connecting the Chassis Stud to Earth

A chassis stud, marked
equipment's EMC the chassis stud must be connected to the user's system earth. The connection should
be made using a single tri-rated, green-and-yellow cable having a cross-sectional area of 2.5 mm
cable should have CSA and UL1015 approval and be connected to the chassis stud through an M6
eyelet. The cable can be crimped or soldered to the eyelet.
