    19 - Information module Figure 1 – External appearance of DW DW consists of case (12) and a cover (11). he cover is attached to the case with six captive screws (9). DW case design and material provide impact and chemical resistance. The DW body is made from a specified fiberglass-reinforced polyester resin that is resistant to solar UV radiation.

    The keypad module can be used for connection both with duplex and simplex subscriber. In the IPN system, when connecting the DW to the IPN-8U module, the keypad module is used to select the target button numbers assigned to the device by the IPN Config Tool.

    1.2.6 Holder with reed switch and handset Holder with reed is installed in the center compartment for replaceable modules in the DW cover in accordance with the DW variants. The handset is fixed on holder. The handset is designed to provide duplex communication, but it can be used in other communication modes, depending on the characteristics and parameters of the communication system.

    − check position of DIP-switch contacts «SW1», «SW2», «SW3», «SW8» of DW-BC board (see Figure 4) in accordance with 1.1.6; − check the settings of the controllers on the DW-BC board in accordance with Figure 4.     Before installing the unit at the workplace make the markings in accordance with Figure 6. The height of the DW attachment to the wall is determined so that the microphone is at the level of the person's mouth, i.e. 1500 -1600 mm from the floor elevation. At this level, make a mark on the wall.

    DW Weatherproof Digital Call Station User Manual When the power is turned on, DW unit is automatically initialized. After initialization, the unit is ready for operation. If necessary, check the communication quality, and adjust the volume of the amplifiers and the sensitivity of DW microphones.

    DW unit enables to realize different communication modes, depending on the possibilities and configuration of the communication system. An individual function can be assigned to each DW key / key, for example, a call of a subscriber or a group, reproduction of a speech fragment.
  • Page 30 When receiving a call, you can either pick up the handset or use the integrated speaker by pressing the appropriate key or key. In any case, DW works at the same time in the modes of sending and receiving voice messages.

    − Clean, if necessary, terminal strips and the board from dust by air flow (dirt cleaned by air flushing shall not get into other units) with DW enclosure cover being removed; ATTENTION: DW COVER REMOVAL AND AIR FLUSHING ARE ONLY ALLOWED IF DW ECHANGE IS DEENERGIZED! Approximate maintenance time is 0,5 hour.

    User Manual 4 REPAIR No scheduled repair work is provided for DW. Unscheduled repair shall be performed by manufacturer at the request of the User. The place, time, procedure and cost of the work shall be agreed with the manufacturer in advance.
