6. Digital Input/Counter Input

 Digital Input/Counter Input Cable
Use the Digital Input/Counter Input cable described below.
Cable Use copper wires that tolerate the temperature of 75 °C and higher.
Cable Diameter AWG28 - 16
Cable Length The length differs depending on the actual use environment.
*Refer to "Digital Input / Counter Input / Digital Output Connecter" in the page 34 for details of
the digital input/counter input connector and pin assignment.
*The type of connectors in the package differs depending on the period of manufacturing.
To check the supplied connector type, refer to "Appendix – Connector Check".
Input equivalent circuit of digital / counter input interface unit is shown in Figures below.
DI connects to a device which can be current-driven such as switch or transistor output device.
Input the ON / OFF state of a device which can be current-driven as digital value. The signal input
unit is Opto-coupler isolated input. When using an external circuit power supply, the DI/CNT
corresponds to current sink output and current source output. When using the built-in power supply,
the DI/CNT solely corresponds to current sink output
