For this reason, a good quality outdoor antenna is strongly recommended. The following is a brief explanation of the type of connections that are provided with the various antenna systems.

    Listening with Headphones Plug the headphone mini-plug into the HEADPHONE jack located on the front bottom of the TV set. Notes: Headphones are not included in the supplied accessories. No sound will be heard from the main unit speakers when a headphone mini-plug is connected into the HEADPHONE jack.

Many sources have outputs that are limited to Composite video, such as some VCR’s and camcorders.

    Note: Component video is the best type of signal that can be used. The most common sources that use Component outputs are DVD players, and it is highly recommended that Component be used when possible. Component video goes one step beyond S-Video in picture quality. All HDTV signals must be input into this port.
