1.- Take out the machine and all the accessories. Take off the wrapping before you use the
electrical appliance. Do not throw the wrapping away until you have checked that the
appliance is functioning properly.
2.- Make sure you place the appliance on a hard, flat surface. Avoid contact with excessively
hot areas or other dangerous elements. Check that the connection wire and the power point
are in perfect condition.
3.- Make sure that there is a space of more than 30 cm around the appliance on each side,
especially at the front (the user's area).
4.- Before switching on the machine for the first time, clean the surface and the frame of the
plaque with soapy water and then dry them. Remember that the plaque must not be
submerged in water.
5.- Connect the plug to the socket according to the values indicated in this manual.
The two green power indicators will come on.
6.- It has two temperature regulators, one on each side. They can be switched on, one-by-one
or together. Each one will activate its heating element to heat its determined area.
7.- Select the desired temperature on the control panel (50ºC~250ºC) depending on the type of
foodstuffs being made. The orange indicator light will illuminate.
8.- Once the desired temperature is reached, the orange indicator light will switch off and the
salamander maker is ready for making foodstuffs
9.- Pull the grease-collecting tray and mesh unit towards you to place the foodstuffs on the
mesh. After having placed the foodstuffs push the unit back to its original place.
10.- Use the lifting handle on the upper part, place this latter where the heating elements are
located, at the desired height. The foodstuffs will cook quicker if the upper part is close to
them.
11.- When you see the foodstuffs are cooked, turn the regulator to 0 and pull the lifting handle
upwards.
12.- Taking care to not burn yourself; pull the grease-collecting tray and mesh unit towards you
to remove the foodstuffs.
13.- Wait for the salamander to cool down before removing the excess grease form the
grease-collecting tray. To do that, unscrew the two screws that are the mechanical
anchorage with a Philips head screwdriver.
14.- Remove the mesh, pull out the tray and empty the grease. Do not throw hot grease down
the drain, it can cause problems in the waste pipes. Recycle whenever possible.
15.- After cleaning, place it in its position and replace the screws that impede the tray from
falling when the salamander is working.
