Delivers Low-Cost Access to the Network Edge
The Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMXplore is an ultra-compact SONET multiplexer
designed for fiber to the business and fiber to the curb applications. Its small
size and low power consumption make it a sensible option for delivering low
density DS-1, DS-3, and 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet private line connections
to small- and medium-sized customers.
Low cost and compact design can fa-
cilitate new deployment options. The
Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMXplore system
is designed to extend the SONET
network to small and medium enterprise
customers, at a price point that helps
profitable service generation from day
one. Supported by a common operations
environment in conjunction with the
1665 DMX family of products, element
management is simplified and in-
teroperability is assured.
The Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMXplore
can be mounted in a cabinet, on a
wall, or even in a rack. It is environ-
mentally hardened and can function
in a variety of places including extreme
temperature environments.
