Using the Dual Display Function

Some software are not compatible
with the Dual Display setting.

Colors and resolution of Dual
Display:
The colors and resolution of your
LCD and the external display are
limited by the amount of the video
RAM available on your notebook.
If you allocate more colors and
resolution to your LCD, the
external display can use less colors
and/or resolution.
For example:
If you use High Color (16 bit) for
the both displays, the resolutions
are: 1024x768 for your LCD and
640x480 for your external display.
If you use 256 colors for both
displays, the resolutions are:
1024x768 for your LCD and
1024x768 for your external
display.
Using the Dual Display Function
The dual display function allows you to distribute portions of your desktop across
separate displays. For example, if you have an external monitor attached to the
monitor connector, your LCD display and the monitor can function as a single desktop.
You can move the cursor off one display and onto the other. This allows you to drag
objects, such as an open application window or a toolbar, from one display to the other.
This configuration of a single desktop distributed across separate displays is referred
to as a virtual desktop.
