CHARGING THE BATTERY
NOTE: The battery is not shipped fully charged.
NOTE: Lithium-ion batteries will not develop a memory and may be
charged at any time.
For maximum run time, fully charge the battery before each use.
1. Plug the battery charger into an appropriate power outlet. The
LED (Fig. 2) will turn green after a few seconds. If the LED does
not illuminate, make sure the battery charger is securely
assembled and test the power outlet with another electric device.
NOTE: On the first use of the battery charger, the LED may take up
to 2 minutes to illuminate.
2. Insert the battery into the charging dock (Fig. 2). The LED will
either stay green, turn red, or blink red.
• Green: The battery is fully charged or incompletely connected
to the battery charger.
Check the battery charge level (refer to the battery operator's
manual for complete instructions).
- If the battery is fully charged, proceed to step 3.
- If the battery is not fully charged, remove and then firmly
reinsert the battery into the charging dock. If the LED remains
green, remove the battery from the charging dock and unplug
the battery charger from the power outlet. Remove any debris
that may be present in the charging dock. Plug the battery
charger into the power outlet and insert the battery into the
charging dock. If the LED remains green, replace the battery
and battery charger.
• Red: The battery requires charging.
Charge the battery until the LED turns green.
• Blinking Red: The battery is experiencing temperature or
internal electrical issues.
Remove and then reinsert the battery into the charging dock. If
the LED continues to blink red, remove the battery from the
charging dock and unplug the battery charger from the power
outlet. Remove any debris that may be present in the charging
dock. Plug the battery charger into the power outlet and insert
the battery into the charging dock. If the LED continues to
blink red, remove the battery from the battery charger, allow it
to cool for 30 minutes, then reinsert the battery into the
charging dock. If the LED continues to blink red, replace the
battery and/or battery charger.
3. Once the battery is fully charged, remove it from the battery
charger. Optionally, the battery can be stored in the battery charger,
but the battery charger should be unplugged from the power outlet.
