Raised Bed Assembly
1. Choose a level area for your raised bed. If you are installing it on
a lawn, we recommend removing the sod and loosening the soil
with a shovel or spade to a depth of 6".
2. Place the BOARDS on their sides to form a rectangular bed as
shown in Figure 1. Seat the ends of the BOARDS into the four
ALUMINUM CORNERS and assemble the long sides of the bed by
inserting the BOARDS into the IN-LINE CONNECTORS (Figure 2).
Make sure the BOARDS are fully seated and level with the bottom
of the CORNERS and CONNECTORS.
3. Use your screw gun to insert SCREWS into the holes in the
CORNERS and CONNECTORS. Make adjustments as you work
your way around the bed to be sure the BOARDS are fully seated
and level with the CORNERS.
4. Install the CORNER INSERTS into the tops of the ALUMINUM
CORNERS and IN-LINE CONNECTORS (Figure 3). NOTE: Gently tap
them into place with rubber mallet if necessary.
5. Fill the raised bed with a mixture of garden soil and plenty of
organic matter, such as compost. It holds 460 quarts (18 cubic
feet) of soil.
