1. Loosen the four thumbscrews on the return (intake) grille (two on each side) and remove the entire intake assembly. On the backside, you will find a three position filter rack with various combinations of prefilters and a metal tray (chemical filter). 2. Remove the wing nuts that hold the filter retainer in place.
