6. Open the drain valve on the radiator and allow the
coolant to drain completely.
Note: Dispose of the used coolant properly according
to local codes.

7. Close the drain valve (Figure 3).
Removing the Freeze Plug
1. Locate the forward freeze plug at the right side of the
engine.
1. Freeze plug (right side of engine)
2. Remove the freeze plug.
3. Thoroughly clean the hole in the engine block with a
rag.
Note: Ensure that there are no burrs, metal shavings,
or sharp edges that can cut the O-ring.
