For cordless machines only:
Particulate matter protection cap:
Always fit the particulate matter protection cap if
the surroundings are heavily polluted.
The machine heats up faster when the particulate
matter protection cap is fitted. It is protected by
the electronics system from overheating.
Attachment: See page 4, figure K1 and K2.
Fit the particulate matter protection cap as shown.
To remove: See page 4, figure K3.
Hold the particulate matter protection cap by the upper
edges, raise it slightly and then pull it downwards and
remove.
Tip: Take a tool such as e.g. a screwdriver to help.
Rotating battery pack:
See page 5, figure M.
The rear section of the machine can be rotated 270°
in 3 stages, thus allowing the machine's shape to be
adapted to the working conditions. Only operate the
machine when it is in an engaged position.
Battery pack:
Charge the battery pack (H1-4) before use.
Recharge the battery pack if performance diminishes.
The ideal storage temperature is between 10°C and
30°C.
"Li-Power, LiHD" lithium ion battery packs have a capacity
and signal indicator (H1-2):
- Press the button (H1-1), the LEDs indicate the charge
level.
- The battery pack is almost flat and must be recharged if
one LED is flashing.
Capacity and signal indicator:
The capacity and signal indicator (H1-2) displays the
charge status of the battery pack for approx. 2 seconds
when the button (H1-1) is pressed:
approx. 75 – 100%
approx. 50 – 75%
approx. 25 – 50%
approx. 15 – 25%
< approx. 15%
Recommendation: Charge the battery pack
before any further use.

Removing and inserting the battery pack:
To remove: See page 5, figure L2
Press the battery pack release button (H1-5) and pull the
battery pack (H1-4) downwards and out.
To insert: See page 5, figure L1
Slide the battery pack (H1-4) in until it engages.

10.1 Attaching the tools
Important! Never loosen tools with just one wrench
while the spindle locking button (A1-2 / H1-6) is pressed!
This can damage the power tool!
The shank tools (6 mm) are fastened using a collet,
see page 3, Figure F:
• Insert the shank tool into the tool holder (A2-5 / H2-3).
• Tighten the tool with the two single open-end
• Remove grinding tools in reverse order.
10.2 Adjust the protective cover
The protective hood (A2-1 / H1-3) can be adjusted to the
grinding tool used – see page 3, figure G.
• Loosen the two locking screws (A1-3 / H1-7)
• Slide the protective cover to the desired position.
• Fasten the protective cover again with the two locking
of the protective cover before using the electrical device.
10.3 Use as a longitudinal grinder

Turn the additional handle (A2-2) until it is at a
