Install Leveling Legs Electrical Connection Power Supply Cord Prepare dryer for leveling legs To avoid damaging fl oor, use a large fl at piece of cardboard from dryer carton; place under entire back edge of dryer. Firmly grasp dryer body (not console panel) and gently lay dryer down on cardboard. - Page 8 Direct Wire Power Supply Cord Connection Power supply cord strain relief Attach power supply cord strain relief Remove the screws from a 3/4" (19 mm) UL listed strain relief (UL marking on strain relief). Put the tabs of the two clamp sections (C) into the hole (B) below the terminal block opening so that one tab is pointing up (A) and the other is pointing down (D), and hold in place.
- Page 9 4-wire Power Supply Cord Connection Connect ground wire IMPORTANT: A 4-wire connection is required for mobile homes and where local codes do not permit the use of 3-wire connections. A. 4-wire receptacle (NEMA type 14-30R) B. 4-prong plug C. Ground prong D.
- Page 10 Attach direct wire cable to Connect neutral wire strain relief Put direct wire cable through the strain relief. The strain relief Connect neutral wire (white or center) (C) of power supply cord should have a tight fi t with the dryer cabinet and be in a to center terminal block screw (B).
- Page 11 Connect remaining wires Prepare to connect neutral ground wire and neutral wire Place hooked ends of remaining direct wire cable wires under outer terminal block screws (hooks facing right). Squeeze hooked ends together and tighten screws. Finally, reinsert tab of terminal block cover into slot of dryer rear panel.
- Page 12 Connect neutral wire Connect neutral ground wire and neutral wire Place hooked end of neutral wire (white or center) (C) of direct wire cable under center terminal block screw (B). Squeeze hooked end together. Tighten screw. Connect neutral ground wire (E) and neutral wire (white or center wire) (C) of power supply cord or cable under center Connect remaining wires terminal block screw (B).
