Description
GE556Y174 is an Heat Interface Unit (HIU) for cooling production; it is fed
by means of cold water from centralised boiler plants (e.g. district heating).
Main features
• Painted (RAL9010) steel cabinet, for external installation, with key lock.
• Heat exchanger.
• Spacer for the meter.
• Expansion vessel, safety valve and high efficiency circulator (15/6), all comply
with ErP Directive (2009/125/CE).
• Two-way motorized zone valve for cooling.
• 3/4" connections.
• Dynamic balancing valve, R206A series.
General warnings
• Installation must be done by qualified personnel authorized by the condominium administration.
Observe the regulations regarding use (installation, fixing, etc.), operation, recalibration and replacement of meters.
Also refer to the assembly instructions supplied with each meter.
• Danger of electric shock. Access to the HIU must be done by qualified personnel authorized by the condominium administration. Incorrect operations
could cause serious personal injury and damage to the system.
• Before the HIU is connected to the power supply, make sure it has been correctly filled with water. Starting the satellite without water inside could
damage the circulator and the HIU itself.
• During commissioning of the HIU, first open the delivery valves of the primary circuit and then the return valves, to avoid polluting the system. Slowly
open the valves to avoid pressure peaks.
• Do not disconnect the power supply from the electric box. This could damage the circulator and the valve actuators.
• The HIU can be used in closed boiler rooms for operation with non-aggressive fluids (water, glycol-based water in compliance with VDI 2035/ÖNORM 5195).
• Due to vibrations during transport, ALL hydraulic connections must be checked and tightened before installation and commissioning.
• Before installing the HIU on the template, all the pipes must be washed.
• Any unused connections and ball valves must be closed with a plug.
• Before installing the HIU on the template, remove the lock nuts from the threaded connections.
