Warning: When opening the bottom dump valve, release all tank pressure and remove pressure relief valve from tank
before removing clamp or bottle. Point the bottle away from yourself and others while removing the cap. Remove the
cap slowly. Do not exceed 35 psi (2.4 Bar). Failure to follow these warnings could result in serious injury.
Warning: Do not over-tighten the gas keg post.
Caution: Avoid using the yeast harvester with fluids at temperatures over 100°F under pressure or 180°F without
pressure.
Cleaning
Before the first use and after each use, disassemble the Yeast Harvester and sanitize each part with StarSan or a similar
product.
Recommended Usage
The yeast harvester can be installed at the beginning of fermentation with the bottom dump valve left open. This will
allow trub, protein, and early flocculating yeast to collect. You may discard this collection after 5-6 days of fermen-
tation. The best yeast to collect is over the next 3-4 days after the first dump. Cap this yeast in the bottle and keep
refrigerated for 2 weeks for best results.
