Settings

Vehicle equipment
This chapter describes all standard, country-spe‐
cific and optional equipment available for the
model series. It may therefore describe equip‐
ment and functions which are not installed in
your vehicle, for example on account of the spe‐
cial equipment selected or the country specifica‐
tion. This also applies to safety-relevant func‐
tions and systems. Please comply with the
relevant laws and regulations when using the
corresponding functions and systems.
General
The navigation settings can be configured indi‐
vidually. The settings are saved for the current
driver profile.
Services
General
The vehicle offers various functions whose use
requires data to be transferred to BMW or a serv‐
ice provider. The transfer of data can be deacti‐
vated for some services.
If data transfer has been deactivated for a serv‐
ice, then that service cannot be used. Only per‐
form settings with the vehicle at a standstill.
Activating/deactivating
1. Press the button on the Controller.
2. Tilt the Controller to the right.

4. "Configure services"
5. Select the desired setting.

1. Press the button on the Controller.
2. Tilt the Controller to the right.

The additional information on the selected set‐
ting is displayed.
Map
Principle
The map view can be adjusted to individual pref‐
erences, for example the map colour and map
mode can be selected. It is also possible to de‐
fine which Points of Interests are displayed on
the map.
Performing map settings
1. Press the button on the Controller.
2. Tilt the Controller to the right.

4. "Map"
5. Select the desired setting:
▷ "Day/Night": set the map mode depend‐
ing on the light conditions, for example
night mode or automatic map mode.
▷ "Map style": set the map style.
▷ Vehicles with combustion engine:
"Parking and refuel suggestions": display
theme maps automatically.
▷ "Reduced mode": the map view switches
to sedated mode after a certain amount of
