Traffic information using voice
control
Principle
The voice control system can be used to ask
questions about the current traffic situation, de‐
pending on the route guidance status.
Reading out traffic information
Example of active route guidance:
1. Press the button on the steering
wheel.
2. ›Traffic on (the | my) route;Traffic on (the | my)
track;Traffic on (the | my) way‹: information
about the traffic situation is read out.
Traffic information on the map
Principle
Traffic incidents can be displayed by symbols in
map view.
General
In the map view, traffic flow information can be
displayed as coloured lines along individual
roads. Colours of the lines denote the volume of
traffic.
▷ Black: closure.
▷ Red: traffic jam.
▷ Orange: queuing traffic.
▷ Yellow: heavy traffic.
▷ Green: free-flowing traffic.
▷ Grey: general traffic information, for example
road works.
Symbols for traffic incidents and traffic flow infor‐
mation are displayed depending on the map
scale and location of the traffic obstruction.
In the case of route guidance with intermediate
destinations, upcoming traffic events are indica‐
ted by lighter symbols where applicable.

1. Press the button on the Controller.
2. Tilt the Controller to the right.
3. "Set up map":
▷ "Traffic events": symbols for traffic inci‐
dents are displayed.
▷ "Traffic flow": lines are displayed for the
traffic flow.
Traffic symbol in the map view
Symbol Function
Grey symbol:
There are no delays or only mi‐
nor delays on the route.
Yellow symbol:
There are moderate delays on
the route.
Red symbol:
There are significant delays,
road closures or hazard mes‐
sages affecting the route.
A suitable diversion is available
with the traffic information.
Dynamic Route Guidance
Principle
Dynamic Route Guidance takes traffic informa‐
tion into account when calculating the route.
Setting dynamic route guidance
1. Press the button on the Controller.
2. Tilt the Controller to the right.
3. "Settings"
