Troubleshooting

Symptom
The appliance does not work
Food is not cooked
Food is not fried evenly
White smoke coming from appliance
French fries are not fried evenly
Fries are not crispy
Error message displayed
on Control Panel.
Possible Cause
The appliance is not plugged in.
The appliance has not been turned on
by setting the cooking time and temperature.
The appliance is plugged into a shared outlet.
The Inner Pot is overloaded.
The temperature is set too low.
Some food may need to be flipped or rearranged
for better air flow.
Too much oil is being used.
Potatoes are not prepped properly.
Fries are not cut evenly.
Fries are too crowded.
Potatoes are not rinsed properly during
preparation.
Raw fries have too much water.

Solution
Plug the Power Cable into a wall outlet.
Press the Menu Button to cycle through the presets
and then press the Start Button to begin the cooking
process.
The appliance must be the only item plugged into
the outlet.
Use smaller batches for more even cooking.
Raise temperature and continue cooking.

Wipe down to remove excess oil.
Consult a recipe for potato type and prep.
Cut fries thinner or reshape fries.
Spread fries out or cook a smaller batch.
Pat dry to remove excess starch.
Dry potato sticks properly before misting oil.
Cut sticks smaller.
Add a bit more oil.
