If the charger has a malfunc‐
tion or is damaged: Replace
the charger.
If the connecting cable has a
malfunction or is damaged: Do
not use the charger and have
connecting cable replaced by a
STIHL servicing dealer.
Cause
Battery has low
charge.
Battery too hot or too
cold.
There is a malfunction
in the blower.
Blower too hot.
There is a malfunction
in the battery.
No electrical contact
between blower and
battery.
Blower or battery
damp.
Blower too hot.
There is a electrical
malfunction.
Battery not fully char‐
ged.
Normal battery life
has been exceeded.
Remedy
► Charge the battery.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow battery to cool down / warm up.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean contacts in battery compartment.
► Fit the battery.
► Switch on the blower.
► If 3 LEDs continue to flash red: Do not
use the blower and contact your STIHL
servicing dealer for assistance.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow blower to cool down.
► Remove battery and insert it again.
► Switch on the blower.
► If 4 LEDs continue to flash red: Do not
use the battery and contact your STIHL
dealer for assistance.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean contacts in battery compartment.
► Fit the battery.
► Allow blower or battery to dry.
► Remove the battery.
► Allow blower to cool down.
► Remove battery and insert it again.
► Switch on the blower.
► Fully charge the battery.
► Replace the battery.
