mini VENT

When the mini VENT is installed, its stereo audio output signal is presented to the ROTARY (BAL)
R/MONO + L sockets on the back panel. The mini VENT R + L signals are balanced to enable direct
connection to other professional equipment. If only a mono signal is needed, the R/MONO output
delivers the best rotary emulation quality, particularly when the Stop mode is engaged.

Controls
As described in Section 2 (FRONT PANEL CONTROLS), the three buttons VENT, VENT SPEED (2 LEDs
unlabeled) and VENT PRESET A-B (small black unlabeled rocker above the VOLUME NORMAL/SOFT
tab) are dedicated to the operation and programming of the mini VENT, and the description of their
functions is briefly repeated here for convenience.
• VENT: This button inserts or removes the mini VENT from the signal path. When the LED is lit,
the mini VENT is processing the organ signal; when the LED is off, the mini VENT is bypassed.
• VENT SPEED (2 LEDs unlabeled): This button toggles between Slow and Fast speed but is
mainly used for programming the mini VENT. For programming purposes, its amber LED will be
referred to as LO LED, and its red LED will be referred to as HI LED.
• VENT PRESET A-B (small black unlabeled rocker above the VOLUME NORMAL/SOFT tab): This
toggles between the two presets (A & B) of the mini VENT. For programming purposes, it will
be referred to as PRESET A-B.

Programming
Up to five internal parameters can be changed according to the player's own taste. Different settings
can be stored in presets A and B corresponding to the two positions of the PRESET A-B tab.
1. Power up the organ while holding the VENT SPEED (2 LEDs unlabeled) button for at least 3
seconds; this enters the edit routine: the effect will be inserted in the signal path, and the
rotor speed will toggle automatically between Slow and Fast every 10 seconds.
2. Set the PRESET A-B tab according to the preset you want to edit.
3. The LO LED shows which parameter is selected. The following parameters can be edited.
Parameter
Function
SPEED
Adjusts slow and high speeds for the treble
and bass rotors
BALANCE
Adjusts the volume relation between the
treble and bass rotors
DRIVE
Amount of distortion (off, 1, 2, 3, max)
DISTANCE

from the rotors
MODE

(Guitar mode / Keyboard mode)
On entering the edit routine, the SPEED parameter is always selected first. To select the next
parameter, press the VENT button once. After reaching the last parameter MODE, the next
button press will select the first parameter SPEED again.
