• The dust collector can be extended by pulling
the dust collector extension (9) until it locks into
position.
• The extension can be retracted by pressing the
button (10) and pushing the extension back into
the dust collector.
• The dust collector should be returned to the
storage position under the appliance after use and
while charging the appliance.
Use
• Before first use, the battery must be charged for
at least 9 hours.
• Plug the appliance into the charger whenever
power gets low.
Charging the battery (fig. D)
• Make sure that the appliance is switched off. The battery will not be charged with the
on/off switch (4) in the on position.
• Place the appliance on the charging base (7) as shown. The charging indicator will be
lit.
• Plug in charger and leave the appliance on charge for at least 9 hours. While
charging, the charger may become warm. This is normal and does not indicate a
problem. It is safe to leave the appliance connected to the charger indefinitely. The
charger automatically reduces power consumption when charging is complete.
• When charging is complete, the LED will turn off.
• After a period of time the charger will then enter a low-power mode, indicated by a
slow blinking LED.
• Once the unit is removed from the charger, operated and placed back on the charger,
the cycle will start again from the beginning.

below 39°F (4°C) or above 104°F (40°C).
FITTING THE ACCESSORIES (FIG E)
The appliance may be supplied with the following
accessories:
• A right angle brush tool (12) for upholstery
• An extension hose (10)
• A hose connector (11)
To fit an accessory, proceed as follows:
• Fit the hose connector (11) onto the nose of the
appliance and attach one end of the hose (10)
to the connector.
• Attach the right-angled brush tool (12) or crevice
tool (13) to the other end of the hose.
• When not in use, the accessories can be stored
in the storage bag.
Do not charge the battery at ambient temperatures
