• In single VGA card mode, use the PCIe 3.0 x16_1 slot (gray) for a PCI Express x16
graphics card to get better performance.
• We recommend that you provide sufficient power when running CrossFireX™ mode.
• Connect a chassis fan to the motherboard connector labeled CHA_FAN1/2 when
using multiple graphics cards for better thermal environment.
• When both M.2_1 socket and PCIe x1_2 slot are not occupied, PCIe x16_2 runs at x4
mode.
• W hen either M.2_1 socket, or PCIe x1_2 slot, or both are occupied, PCIe x16_2 only
runs at x1 mode.
PCI Express 3.0 x1 slots
This motherboard has two PCI Express 3.0 x1 slots that support PCI Express x1
network cards, SCSI cards, and other cards that comply with the PCI Express

When using PCI cards on shared slots, ensure that the drivers support "Share IRQ" or that
the cards do not need IRQ assignments. Otherwise, conflicts will arise between the two PCI
groups, making the system unstable and the card inoperable.
