UHF/VHF Caravan Antenna Installation Instructions
Step 1
Turn UHF element and open UHF Dipole
to 90º to boom until they snap into place.
See diagram.
Step 3
Attach ribbon lead to G Unit by removing
wing nuts and place one lead end on top
of each nut. Replace wing nut and tighten.
Step 4a
Strip coax cable as shown in Fig 4A.
Fold shielding braid back over cable jacket.

Step 2
Attach double folded dipole ('G' Unit
the 6mm (1/4") hex head bolt washers & wing nut.
Ensure elements are on the top side of the boom & the
®
'G' Unit is attached to the topside of the boom using
the hole closest to the UHF element.
See diagram.
For areas where UHF is horizontal and VHF vertical polarized, or
visa-versa, attach UHF section 90º to VHF section. See Fig 9A.
Step 4
Cut rubber boot seal as in Fig 4.
Feed balun cable through boot seal.
Step 5
Select RG6 connector with plain knurled body that is
supplied. Place "F" connector on back to front and
twist to ensure that all braid is flat. See Fig 5.
