PROBLEM
The coffee froth is too dark (delivered
from the spout too slowly)
The filter holder cannot be attached to
the appliance
No milk froth is formed when making
cappuccino
The drip or espresso coffee has an acid
flavour
The drip coffee takes longer to percolate
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The pre-ground coffee is pressed down
too firmly
There is too much pre-ground coffee
The espresso boiler outlet is blocked
The pre-ground coffee is too fine or damp Use pre-ground coffee for espresso coffee
The wrong type of pre-ground coffee is
being used
Too much coffee has been placed in the
filter
Milk not cold enough
Cappuccino maker dirty
Inadequate rinsing after descaling
The drip coffee maker needs to be desca-
led

SOLUTION
Press the coffee down less firmly (fig. 17)
Reduce the quantity of pre-ground coffee
Clean as described in the section "13.2
Cleaning the boiler outlet".
