Print Quality Problems
Is the exposure adjusted correctly?
Adjust the exposure correctly using [Exposure]. (See "Adjusting the Exposure
(Density)," on p. 5-6.)
Is the machine in the toner saver mode?
Set <B & W TONER SAVER> to <OFF> in <COMMON SETTINGS> of the
Menu. (See <3. B & W TONER SAVER> of "Menu Descriptions," on p. 10-4.)
Is the paper type set correctly?
Select <HEAVY PAPER> in <PAPER TYPE> in <PAPER SETTINGS> of the
Menu. (See "Specifying the Paper Type," on p. 2-20.)
Is the paper type set correctly?
Select <TRANSPARENCY> in <PAPER TYPE> in <PAPER SETTINGS> of the
Menu. (See "Specifying the Paper Type," on p. 2-20.)
Is the paper size set correctly?
Specify the appropriate paper size in <PAPER SIZE> in <PAPER SETTINGS>
of the Menu. (See "Specifying the Paper Size," on p. 2-19.)
Is proper paper being used?
Replace the paper to a type that can be used with this machine. (See "Print
Media Requirements," on p. 2-1.)
Has one of the four color-cartridges reached its lifetime, or has deteriorated?
Replace the toner cartridge that is almost reached with a new cartridge. (See
"Replacing the Toner Cartridges," on p. 8-5.)
