VENTING OVERVIEW

CATEGORY I DOUBLE-WALL B-VENT
(ON/OFF - ONLY)
Conventional Vertical Negative Draft
Venting with a vertical rooftop termination
and combustion air supplied from the
equipment room.
Vertical DirectAire Venting uses a vertical
negative draft flue with a rooftop termination
for flue products and a combustion air pipe
from the sidewall or rooftop.
CATEGORY IV VENT MATERIAL
(ALL MODELS)
Vertical Negative Draft Venting with a vertical
rooftop termination and combustion air
supplied from the equipment room. (Note:

Sidewall Venting uses the unit's internal fan to
exhaust the flue products out to a sidewall
vent termination with combustion air supplied
from the equipment room.
Vertical DirectAire Venting (Sidewall Inlet) with
a vertical rooftop termination for flue products
and a combustion air pipe from the sidewall.
(Note: B-Vent may be used with ON/OFF
models)
Horizontal DirectAire Venting uses the unit's
internal fan to exhaust the flue products out a
sidewall vent termination with a combustion
air pipe from the rooftop or from a sidewall
other than where the flue terminates.
Horizontal or Vertical Direct Venting uses the
unit's internal fan to exhaust the flue products
out to a sidewall or rooftop vent termination
with a separate sealed combustion air pipe to
the outdoors. This system terminates both the
flue and combustion air inlet on the same
surface and in the same pressure zone.
