these holes by looking from the side. Once in place screw the bolts into the attachment holes until
they are hand tight. Be careful not to cross thread the holes! Tighten using a 5 MM hex wrench.
Torque to 30 in-lbs (3.4 Nm)
7. Mount the rear bracket onto the AGS-R2 Air Box. Place the rear bracket on the bottom of the air
box with the bend and (2) mounting legs at the back. Use (2) #10-32x1/2" lg button head screws
and flat washers. Thread the screws through the air box into the floating nut plates mounted to the
rear bracket. Use 1/8" hex driver. NOTE: The screws will start easy and then tighten up as you
continue to screw in. This is normal. The nuts are self-locking so the screws do not loosen in
operation. Do not fully tighten until the final alignment.
8. Lubricate the 2 mounting legs on the AGS-R2 rear mount with foaming window cleaner or a very
light film of oil. Push the rear mounting legs into the (2) rearmost rubber grommets which located
the factory air box base. The AGS-R2 will snap into place.
9. Attach the front of the AGS-R2 to the front bracket mounted above the turbo. Use (2) #10-32 x 1/2"
lg button head screws and (2) flat washers. Insert the screws with washers through the AGS-R2 at
the air inlet (front of air box) and through the mounting bracket. Place a flat washer and locking nut
on each screw. Use 1/8" hex wrench and 3/8" combination wrench
NOTE. If the holes in the AGS-R2 do no align with the slots in the front bracket adjust the
position of the air box. You may need to elongate the holes in the airbox housing to get
alignment.
10. Once the front mounting holes are aligned tighten the (2) front mounting screws and the (2) rear
mounting screws to 20 in-lbs (2.3 Nm).
11. Install the silicone elbow and clamps supplied with your kit onto the air outlet tube on the AGS-R2.
Do not tighten.
12. Install the MAF housing between the factory air inlet hose and silicone elbow. Verify it is installed
in the proper air flow position. The sensor only works in on direction | air flowing from the AGS-R2
towards the Turbo.
13. Align everything in the air tract to eliminate any stresses or twists. Once you are satisfied with the
alignment, tighten the (3) hose clamps. If necessary you can trim the silicone elbow using masking
tape as a guide and a hack saw to cut it. If you cut the elbow thoroughly clean the inside to remove
any leftover particles and dirt.
14. Plug in the MAF sensor electrical connector.
