    PRE-OPERATION CHECKS Pre-operation checks should be made each time you use your PTV. Get in the habit of performing the following checks in the same way so that they become second nature. To keep car from moving while performing pre-operation checks: Remove main switch key.

Check that the batteries are held securely in place to prevent the batteries from being damaged from vibration or jarring. Also check that no battery caps are missing to prevent battery acid from spilling from the battery.
