14.2.2 Alternative earthing concept
With the alternative earthing concept, the sensor cable shield is connected to the sensor
housing. The sensor housing is uncoupled from the machine earth by means of an EMC
adapter (red). With the alternative earthing concept, an electrically secure earth connection can
only be ensured for versions with an M12 plug connection. For versions with an integrated
cable, the alternative earthing concept cannot be used.
