switch. The device is now ready for operation. Place the cleaning material in a basket in the tub.
Switch on ultrasonic with the «START / STOP» key.
Degas function (optional for D-series devices)
To degas the cleaning liquid, press the «DEGAS» key. The ultrasonic runs for 5 minutes in DEGAS
mode. Since fresh tap water contains gases, it is recommended to switch on the DEGAS function
before cleaning. Due to the final gasification, the device will operate more efficiently.
Devices with heating (optional for HC devices, the D-series and H-series)
When power is on, LED actual fluid temperature display window lamp flashes and displays fluid's
actual temperature. To set related gears, rotate heating knob. In order to heat the cleaning fluid
during cleaning, so long as the heating switch is rotated clockwise, then it will enter into the
heating state. The heating temperature can be selected and set freely according to the indication
at the edge of rotary switch on the panel. Once the green heating working indicator lamp is on,
the heating band PTC will also start working and heating the fluid. When the temperature reaches
the set temperature, the green heating working indicator lamp will go off and the heating band
PTC will stop working. When the fluid temperature is lower than the set temperature, the heating
band PTC will also start working and heating the fluid. Then, the temperature of the fluid will be
automatically controlled at the set temperature.
Note:
Prolonged use of the heater in the higher temperature range may cause slight disco-
loration of the stainless steel tub on the sides. These do not represent a performance
impairment! Even with the heater switched off and a longer period of use, the water
temperature warms up to about 30°C – 35°C. This is the case with all ultrasonic devices
and is done by the energy that comes from the cavitation and is thus completely normal.
Sweep function (optional for D-series devices)
All Emmi-D models have a "SWEEP function". This causes a displacement of the sound pressure
and thereby causes an even more uniform sound of the cleaning material. To switch on or off,
simply press the "SWEEP" button.
Note:
Sweep cannot be operated simultaneously with the Degas function.
Ultrasound power regulator (optional for D- & HC-series devices)
The "50% Power" function key can be used if 100% ultrasonic power is not to be used for particu-
larly sensitive cleaning products. To operate the power regulation, briefly press the "50% Power
button». To restore the 100% ultrasonic power, Press the "50% Power button" again. To control the
power regulation of the HC series, simply operate the ultrasonic power regulator (50, 75 & 100%).
Completion of the cleaning process
After completion of the cleaning process, switch off the device with the «ON/OFF» button.
Remove the cleaning material from the pan with the stainless steel basket and rinse with clear
water, as there may be loose cleaning residues on the cleaned objects. The cleaning process can
be shortened by briefly pressing the «START/STOP» button. The cleaning tank does not have to
be emptied after every cleaning process, unless the cleaning liquid is extremely contaminated.
However, it is recommended to always empty the device if it is not used for an extended period
of time. There are certain residues of soiling that can lead to corrosion in the stainless steel tub.
Do not use aqueous cleaning additives in the acidic range (for example, use fluoride, chloride or
bromide ions. ) Explosive Substances and flammable cleaning solutions must not be used in the
stainless steel tub and be sound-proofed. After the connection cable has been pulled out of the
device connection socket and the power outlet, the liquid can be emptied via a drain notch in the
trays corners on devices without drain tap. It is recommended to dry the pan with a cloth.
Note:
When filling with fresh water, please take into account a degassing time of 10 minutes,
depending on the degree of hardness.
