Starting Big League Baseball

You can always start Big League Baseball from a DOS prompt by typing the letter of the
drive on which you installed the program, followed by a colon, followed by \HRS100.

1. At a DOS prompt, type the drive on which you installed Big League Baseball,
a colon, and then \HRS100.
For example, C:\HRS100. Notice that \ is a backslash.
2. Press the Enter key.
You see Big League Baseball's display screen.
The Request line at the top shows Type a player's name. The Request line is where
you type or enter requests to find baseball statistics. It changes, depending on what
you can type or enter next.
Beneath the Request line is the Request menu. It displays the requests you can
make. You'll learn about them later.
At the bottom is the Function Key line. It tells which function keys you can press.

Adjusting the Display Color

You can select the best background color for the display by pressing F9.
Monochrome and some color monitors work best at the monochrome setting.

1. Press F9.
2. Press the up and down arrow keys to highlight a color.
3. Press the Enter key.

Getting Help Messages

You can get a help message appropriate to the current screen by pressing F10.
When you want to exit a help message, press the Escape key.
