The FortiGate-3810A multi-threat security appliance is the first standalone
security appliance offering optional 10-Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. Four AMC
expansion slots allow the FortiGate-3810A to be customized for your exact
performance needs. Up to 26 Gbps firewall performance can be achieved in a full
configuration with just a single 2U rack-mount appliance.
The FortiGate-3810A includes
•
Base unit provides eight 10/100/1000 ports
•
two SFP (fiber) interfaces (ports 9 and 10) use hardware acceleration, for
enhanced network performance.
•
Supports two dual-width and two single-width AMC expansion modules
•
Dual-width AMC slots support up to four 10-Gigabit Ethernet XFP interfaces
•
Single-width AMC slots support up to eight additional Gigabit Ethernet SFP
interfaces

This document explains how to install and configure your FortiGate unit onto your
network. This document also includes how to install and upgrade new firmware
versions on your FortiGate unit.

– Describes setting up and powering on a FortiGate unit.

– Provides an overview of the operating modes of the FortiGate
unit and how to integrate the FortiGate unit into your network.

on the FortiGate unit to enhance network protection, including antivirus,
antispam, firewall configuration and logging.

AMC modules
– Describes how to install an AMC module into the FortiGate
unit and how to configure the module if required.

FortiGate Firmware
– Describes how to install, update, restore and test
firmware for the FortiGate device.
