    1. Package Contents Thank you for purchasing the FortiGate-300C. The FortiGate-300 delivers wire-speed performance, integrated threat management and flexibility at an affordable price. Fortinet’s technologies provide outstanding firewall throughput, enabling you to protect your applications and network without affecting performance.

    2. Installation Ensure the FortiGate unit is placed on a stable surface prior to desk or rack-mount installation. Desktop Installation: 1 Using the supplied AC power cable, plug the cable into the rear of the switch and into a wall outlet. 2 Ensure the unit has adequate ventilation (minimum 15cm/6in) on all sides.

    FortiExplorer is a software tool you can use to configure your FortiGate unit. You can use it to configure your admin password, network settings and to register your unit with Fortinet. You can also access the web-based manager and the command line interface (CLI).

    Product registration on Fortinet’s Support Website or ninety (90) days from the date that the Product was originally shipped from Fortinet’s facilities. It is the Fortinet distributor’s and reseller’s responsibility to make clear to the end user the date the product was originally shipped from Fortinet, and it is the end user’s responsibility to understand the original ship date from the party from which the end user purchased the product.
