Installing Transfer Pump at its service location

It is recommended that the Transfer Pump be mounted securely to the floor or other suitable surface in the final
service location before operation.
The Transfer Pump achieves its signature high performance and efficiency through the use of a highly
engineered impeller stage, providing a significant performance increase in the primary flow direction. Figure 2
shows the directionality of the pump flow – the primary flow Direction #1 is considered the forward direction in
which the Transfer Pump has the highest performance, whereas the secondary flow Direction #2 is considered
the reverse direction. It is important to mount the Transfer pump in an orientation suitable for minimizing the
number of elbows and other fittings to achieve the desired fluidic performance of the Transfer Pump. See
Section 3, Installation and setup, Piping guidelines for fluidic connections and the Pump Data Package for
detailed engineering data on the performance of the Transfer Pump in both Direction #1 Forward and Direction
#2 Reverse.
