Managing Color and Preserving Photos

Here are some guidelines for:
Managing color in your photos if you're using Adobe Photoshop
Preserving your photos on EPSON Photo Paper

Color Management with Adobe Photoshop 5.0

If you use Adobe Photoshop 5.0 for editing images and printing them on your
EPSON Stylus Photo 750, you need to be careful when selecting a color management
method. Both Photoshop 5.0 and your printer software provide color management
tools and color profiles for your printer, and if both are used at the same time, you'll
get unexpected colors in your printout.
Photoshop 5.0 provides a color management tool that is turned on by default in its
printing dialog box. Your printer software also provides color management options
for ICM and sRGB (Windows), and ColorSync (Macintosh), but they are turned off
by default. (See page 24 for information on your printer software's color management
options.)
It's important that you don't use both color management tools at one time. Just
remember:
When you're using Photoshop color management, don't turn on color
management in your printer software.
When you're using one of your printer's color management options, turn off
Photoshop's color management tool.
Check your Photoshop documentation for instructions on turning Photoshop's color
management tool on and off. For additional tips on using Adobe Photoshop 5.0 with
your EPSON printer, visit EPSON's web site at www.epson.com, and check the
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions).
