Installing the Ink Cartridges 1. Make sure the printer is turned off (the P power button should be up), then plug the printer’s power cord into the AC inlet on the back of the printer. Then plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.

7. Press the H ink button and close the printer cover. Ink charging takes about 90 seconds. You see the P power light flash and hear the printer charging your ink. Don’t turn off the printer during this process or you’ll waste ink.

Installing the Print Server Hardware The print server hardware is a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet adapter that supports several network protocols. Follow the instructions below to install it on your EPSON Stylus C80N printer. Do not place anything on top of the print server after it is installed in the printer.
5. Plug the power cord of the AC adapter into a properly grounded wall outlet. 6. While holding down the status sheet button on the print server, turn on the printer. Continue to hold down the status sheet button for about 5 seconds. This initializes the print server.

EpsonNet WinAssist The EpsonNet WinAssist program lets you configure the print server using Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, 2000, or XP.

EpsonNet WebManager lets you monitor and control all your network printers. It supports Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX platforms and allows you to manage EPSON printers that support the printer MIB (Management Information Base) standard, RFC 1759. Although EpsonNet WebManager supports multiple network platforms, you can only install it in a Windows environment.
Following are the main functions of the software: Device list Searches for printers on the network and displays a list with current status. Device details Lets you change printer settings. Network settings Lets you change network interface settings. Group management Helps you manage network printers more effectively.

Installing the Printer Driver on Workstations...
Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, Me, 2000, or XP. It shows ink levels for the printer and notifies you if the printer has any problems. It creates some network traffic, however, so you may want to limit the number of users who can monitor the printer.
Selecting a Printer to Monitor To use EPSON Status Monitor 3, you have to select the printer you want to monitor. You do this in the printer’s properties dialog box. Follow the steps below for your system: Windows 95, 98, and Me: 1.
