Checking and Cleaning the Print Head

If your print quality is not as good as it used to be—if
photos are too light, are missing colors, or have lines
running through them—PictureMate's print head
nozzles may need cleaning.
You can check the nozzles and clean the print head if
necessary.

Load paper in PictureMate.

Press the Menu button on the remote control.

Select Maintenance and press OK.

Select Nozzle Check and press OK.

Press Print. The nozzle check pattern is printed.

Check the pattern to see if there are any gaps or
missing lines.

If the pattern is OK, press OK to finish.

If the pattern has gaps or missing lines, select
No and press OK. Continue pressing OK to
start Auto Cleaning.
Cleaning takes about 60 seconds. PictureMate
makes some noise and you see an Auto Cleaning
message.
If you don't see any improvement after cleaning three
times, see "Print Quality Problems" on page 73.
