Debris guard
Drive shaft head
Disconnect the spark plug from the engine before you proceed with assembly.
1. Remove your chainsaw
or hedge trimmer
attachment from the
drive shaft at the joint
connection directly
below the handle.
2. Remove the black
rubber cover from your
new drive shaft.
3. Connect your new drive
shaft in the same joint
connection, making sure
the gears interlink
correctly (you may need
to twist the drive shaft
a couple of times for
drive shaft to lock into
place), then tighten the
knob bolt on the drive
shaft securely.

you are familiar with the operation.

WARNING
4. Position the debris
guard directly behind
the drive shaft head and
secure the two bolts on
the debris guard bracket
using the Allen key
provided.
5. Align the holes in the
drive shaft and insert
the 5mm Allen key
through both holes.
