SPECIAL SAFETY INFORMATION

1. The unit heats up very quickly and cools down only very slowly. Watch out for splashing of fat
and vapors during operation! Touch only at the handle.
2. Do not use any accessories that were not supplied with this unit!
3. Do not place this unit next to hot devices (e.g. next to a cooker or oven). There must also not be
any inflammable objects (such as curtains) near the unit.
4. Caution: The power cord must not touch the hot parts of the unit during operation!

Before first use

1. Remove all packing material.
2. Clean the unit before using it for the first time (see "cleaning and care" section).
3. There can be some smells when using it for the first time. Residues left over from the manu-
facturing process are being burned on the grill plate.

Operation

1. Prepare the food to be grilled (clean, marinate, apply spices and, if necessary, a thin layer of
oil or fat). Please let moist foodstuffs dry.
Caution: First, place the foods to be grilled and only then connect the mains plug with a plug
point. Otherwise, the unit would heat up too much.
Note: This grill has an overheating protection. If the device has heated up too much, it
switches off automatically. The lamp in the thermostat goes off. In this case, pull out
the mains plug and let the device cool down completely. Only then can you start again.
2. Place the food to grill at the center of the plate. Do not use any metallic or sharp-edged
tools, this could damage the non-stick coating on the unit.
3. Plug the connector with thermostat into the appliance, then connect the main plug to a
suitable socket.
