SAFETY INFORMATION

Please read these operating instructions carefully before using this appliance. Please pay attention
to the safety information. If you pass the device on to a third party, these operating Instructions must
also be handed over.
1. Incorrect operation and improper use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the user.

2. The appliance may be used only for its intended purpose, no responsibility can be taken for any
possible damage caused through incorrect use or improper handling.
3. Before connecting the appliance to the power source, check that the current and power match
those given on the rating label.
4. Do not immerse the appliance or the plug into water or any other liquid.
5. Never attempt to open the housing yourself.
6. Do not place any kind of object into the inside the housing.
7. Do not use the appliance with wet hands, on a damp floor or when the appliance itself is wet.
8. Do not touch the plug with wet or damp hands.
9. Check the cord and the plug regularly for any possible damage. If the cord or plug is damaged, it
must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified person to avoid a hazard.
10. Do not use the appliance if it is dropped or otherwise damaged or if the cord or plug are dama-
ged. In the case of damage, take the appliance to an authorized service center.
11. Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause an electric shock!
12. Do not allow the cord to hand over sharp edges and keep it well away from hot objects and naked
flames.
13. Remove the plug from the socket only by holding the plug.
14. For extra protection it is possible to fit the electric household installation with a fault current brea-
ker with a rated breaking current of not more than 30mA. Ask your electrician for advice.
15. Make sure that the cord or extension cord is not hanging over table or kitchen counter, to inadver-
tently be pulled or cause anyone to trip when in use.
16. If an extension cord is used it must be suited to the power consumption of the appliance, otherwi-
se overheating of the extension cord and/or plug may occur.
17. This appliance is intended only for food preparation.
18. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use.
19. Children cannot recognize the dangers involved in the incorrect use of electrical appliances. The-
refore, never allow children to use household appliances without supervision.
20. Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and each time before it
is cleaned.
21. Nominal voltage is still present in the appliance as long as the appliance is connected to the ma-
ins socket.
22. Switch the appliance off before disconnecting from the mains.
23. Never use the cord to carry the appliance.
24. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)with reduced physical, sen-
sory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safe-
ty.
25. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
26. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or simi-
larly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
27. WARNING: Charcoal or similar combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance.
28. The instructions for appliance incorporating an appliance inlet, and intended to be partially or fully
immersed in water for cleaning, shall state that the connector must be removed before the appli-
ance is cleaned and that the appliance inlet must be dried before the appliance is used again.
29. The instructions for appliance intended to be used with a connector incorporating a thermostat
shall state that only the appropriate connector must be used.
30. The instructions shall state that appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an exter-
nal timer or separate remote-control system.
