Service Menu; Unlocking The Taskbar - Sony KF-60XBR800 Manual

SERVICE MENU:

20- now, at this point you have a lot of over scan. To get rid of it, power off your TV.
Wait until it goes completely dark. Then do the following sequence of commands to
enter the SERVICE MENU. DISPLAY – 5 – VOL+ POWER. Before entering this
menu make sure you know how to navigate the SERVICE MENU and you are familiar
with it. It is very easy to change other parameters in the service menu unintentionally.
This may or many not affect the total quality picture of your TV.
21- if you have entered the SERVICE MENU, then you will see the service menu at top
of the screen. You will also the input signal at 720 and the video input at video 7. Go to
category MID1 COM by using the 2 and 5 buttons on your remote. Once you find the
MID1 COM category, navigate this category until you reach the following parameters:
MDHS, MDVS, DHPH, & DVPH. Here are my parameters for 1360x720:

Notes:
These values only apply to the KF-60XBR800. The values for the KF-
50XBR800 may be different. The 1368x720 values I do not know whether they will
apply to either TV model.

UNLOCKING THE TASKBAR:

22- if you have selected the 1368x768 resolution then you will notice that overscan is not
fixable with MID1 COM category; After applying the values for MID1 COM go to the
TASKBAR and START MENU properties and unclick the option LOCK THE
TASKBAR. This will allow you to increment the size of the TASKBAR and you will
able to see it at this resolution.
