the machine on. Press the machine from
above onto the material and guide the jig
saw along the cutting line.
4. Do not use too much pressure to achieve
the best progress when sawing.
5. When sawing along a marked line use
the marking on the splitting guard as a
guide.
6. For exact cutting, clamp a timber batten
onto the material as an aid or use the
parallel guide.
7. For mitres/bevels cut, set the base plate
in the required position.
8. Set the base plate to its rearmost position
for cutting close to an edge.
9.If your power tool becomes too hot,
especially when used at low speed, set
the speed to maximum and run no load
for 2-3 minutes to cool the motor. Avoid
prolonged usage at very low speeds.
Maintenance and Cleaning
•Before any work on the machine itself remove
the plug from the mains socket.
•Always keep the machine and ventilation slots
clean.
•Regularly check to see if any dust or foreign
matter has entered the grills near the motor
and around the trigger switch. Use a soft brush
to remove any accumulated dust.
•Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes whilst
cleaning and using the unit.
•If the body of the tool needs cleaning, wipe it
with a soft damp cloth. A mild detergent can be
used but nothing like alcohol, petrol or other
cleaning agent.
•Never use caustic agents to clean plastic part.
•Lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals.
CAUTION! Water must never come into
contact with the tool.

PLUG REPLACEMENT

Your Power Tool is supplied with a fitted
plug, however if you need to fit a new plug
follow the instruction below.
IMPORTANT
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue = Neutral Brown = Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains
lead of this appliance may not correspond
with the coloured markings identifying the
terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured blue must be
connected to the terminal which is marked
with N.
• Check plug fuse
• Blade was not seated
correctly. Push blade
firmly into the chuck
• Quick release lever did
not return to its normal
position. Push blade in
firmly and aid the lever
to return to the correct
position
• Too much forward force
is being applied to the
jigsaw
The settings are incorrect
for the material being cut.
Check the speed and
pendulum settings.
• Blade is twisted or blunt.
Replace blade
