Smooth, Clean Motion
An overdrive circuit is included to enhance the play-
back of moving images by adjusting the voltage input
for each frame based on image data from the previ-
ous three frames. Commonly used in LCD TVs, this
circuit improves midtone response time — the time
required to transit between gray levels — to 8 ms. Fast
video sequences and 3D-CAD animation are displayed
without delays.
Fine Contrast Mode Selection
The Fine Contrast function provides ideal viewing
conditions for office applications (Text mode), video
clips (Movie mode), graphics (Picture mode), and
web browsing (sRGB mode). A Custom mode is also
available for individual user settings. The bundled
ScreenManager Pro for LCD software supports au-
tomatic mode switching, such as changing to Picture
mode when a graphics application is selected.

10-Bit LUT, 14-Bit Internal Processing
EIZO equips the FlexScan S2000 with its own ASIC
(Application Specific Integrated Circuit) which fea-
tures a 10-bit look-up table and 14-bit internal pro-
cessing. The 10-bit look-up table has a palette of more
than 1 billion colors from which the most appropriate
16.7 million (8-bits) are displayed to ensure smooth
reproduction of subtle color variations. The 14-bit
internal processing produces a high degree of detail in
dark areas of an image.
Precise Color Control
Gamma values can be adjusted manually from 1.4 to
3.0 in steps of 0.2 and color temperature in 500 K
increments from 4,000 to 10,000 K. Hue, gain, and
saturation can be controlled separately, and an inde-
pendent 6-color control function allows for individual
adjustment of red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and
yellow.
