Firmware is a kind of software that is embedded in the router. It's a
binary image file that can be used to upgrade the router by the end user
using a web browser (Windows IE, Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape etc.) Edimax
will publish the latest firmware in the web site periodically.
not to conduct firmware upgrade unless there is a severe problem in the
current firmware of the router.

Step 1 : Download the latest firmware from the Edimax web site at
www.edimax.com, and save it on the Desktop of your PC.
Step 2 : Log on to the router's management web page at
http://192.168.2.1, and enter the user name, password.
By default, the user name is " admin " ; while password is
" 1234 ". If the password was changed, and forgetten,
please reset the router for recovering the password.

The router will reboot itself automatically. Warning: Not to power off or disconnect the router ; otherwise the router may be faulty.
