TROUBLESHOOTING

Save t ime and money! Review t he chart s on t he following pages first and you may not need t o call for service.

What To Do
Makes sure t he dehumidifier's plug is pushed complet ely int o t he
out let .
Check t he house fuse/ circuit breaker box and replace t he fuse or reset
t he breaker.
The dehumidifier aut omat ically t urns off when eit her condit ion occurs.
Change t o a lower set t ing or empt y t he bucket and replace properly.
The bucket must be in place and securely seat ed for t he dehumidifier
t o operat e.
There is a prot ect ive t ime delay (up t o 3 minut es) t o prevent t ripping
of t he compressor overload. For t his reason, t he unit may not st art
normal dehumidificat ion for 3 minut es aft er t urning back on.
When first inst alled, allow at least 24 hours t o maint ain t he desired
dryness.
Make sure t here are no curt ains, blinds or furnit ure blocking t he t op or
back of t he dehumidifier. See t he Choosing a Locat ion sect ion.

For drier air, press t he
pad and set t o a lower percent value (%) or at
NS (Nonst op) for maximum dehumidificat ion.
Check t hat all doors, windows and ot her openings are securely closed.
Inst all t he dehumidifier away from t he dyer. The dryer should be
vent ed t o t he out side.
Moist ure removal is best at higher room t emperat ures. Lower room
t emperat ures will reduce t he moist ure removal rat e. Models are
designed t o be operat ed at t emperat ures above 41°F (5°C).
The capacit y of your dehumidifier may not be adequat e.
Close all doors and windows t o t he out side.
Please operat e unit at t emperat ures above 41°F (5°C). Frost will
usually disappear wit hin 60 minut es. Under cert ain condit ions, frost
may appear on t he coils of your dehumidifier at t emperat ures above
41°F (5°C). This is normal and frost will usually disappear wit hin 60
minut es. See t he Aut omat ic Defrost sect ion.
This is normal.
Check t he hose connect ion. See t he Removing Collect ed Wat er
sect ion.
Disconnect t he hose if using a bucket t o collect wat er. See t he
Removing Collect ed Wat er sect ion.
Check drain hose connect ion.
Ensure t he drain hose is point ed st raight down t o t he floor and is not
kinked in anyway.
Ensure pump is t urned on and pump light is illuminat ed
Ensure pump hose is properly inst alled on back of unit
This may be caused by very humid condit ions or error wit h float
sensor. Check unit for a P1 error code on display. If t his is present -
t urn off t he unit , unplug unit for a few seconds, plug back in and t urn
on t he unit t o reset sensor. If t his error cont inues t o occur refer t o
warrant y sect ion for exchange opt ions.
