2.12 Gamma Shift Adjustment

[PC-gamma off adjustment]
1. Receive the 16-step gray scale computer signal.
2. Set to COMPUTER mode.
3. Enter the service mode, select item no. "6" of group no. "2" and change data value to
adjust it so that the gray scale screen appears correctly on the screen.
[AV-gamma off adjustment]
4. Receive the 16-step gray scale video signal.
5. Set to VIDEO mode.
6. Enter the service mode, select item no. "6" of group no. "2" and change data value to
adjust it so that the gray scale screen appears correctly on the screen.

2.13 White Balance Adjustment

[PC white balance adjustment]
1. Receive the 16-step gray scale computer signal.
2. Set to COMPUTER mode.
3. Enter the service mode, select item no. "7" (Red) or "8" (Blue) of group no. "2", and
change data values respectively to make a proper white balance.
4. Perform step 3 with the BRIGHT button ON and OFF.
[AV white adjustment]
5. Receive the 16-step gray scale video signal.
6. Set to VIDEO mode.
7. Enter the service mode, select item no. "7" (Red) or "8" (Blue) of group no. "2", and
change data values respectively to make a proper white balance.
8. Perform step 7 with the BRIGHT button ON and OFF.
* Verify that the white balance for video input is equal to that for computer input.

2.14 Note on White Uniformity Adjustment

If you find the color shading on the screen, adjust the white uniformity by using the
proper computer and "Color Shading Correction" software.
The software is supplied with this service manual.
