Transfer Pump Reassembly

Center plate disassembly, seal replacement, and reassembly

The center plate assembly contains four shaft seals, two sets of needle bearings, and two thrust washers. If your pump
has all Viton shaft seals, continue the instructions on this page. If your pump has Teflon shaft seals skip to page 31 for
seal installation instructions.

Replacing center plate outer seals

1. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove two retaining screws each on both thrust washers and remove the thrust
washers, Figure 1.
2. Using a seal removal tool, remove the center plate outer shaft seals hooking it under the lip of each seal and gently
prying upward, Figure 2.
3. Be sure you are using shaft seal number 1375-2000, Figure 3. If you purchased service kit #2, use the new shaft
seals. Position the shaft seals with the cup facing up, and push firmly into place.
4. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver and two retaining screws each, install the two thrust washers, Figure 1.
