Night View Portrait Mode

A slow-shutter synchronous picture
may be taken
if
the
object to
be photographed
is in
the
dark.
(1 )Press
the flash mode butten until the night
view
portrait mode
~
symbol appears.
An
ultra-slow
exposure of
less than
one second
may now be
laken
in a dark
place
by aiming at the subject
and
pressing the
shutter
release
butten.
Automatic
exposure is typically
used when the
flash is on
standby. Automatic exposure will
insure
the
exposure is accurate when taking
pictures
at
dawn,
at
dusk,
under an
overcast sky,
or for close-ups.
Use
a
tripod to avoid
shaking
the
camera.
Flash Off Mode (Fig
.
21)

The flash will not
go off
in this
mode.
This mode
may
be
used to take pictures
at
twilight
or
nighttime
,
or in a
museum
where
f lash
photography
is
forbidden
.

Because the shutter
speed
may be very
slow,
use
of a
tripod is recommended.
Auto Focusing Red Light Reflector
(Fig. 22)
When taking pictures
at
night
or
in a dark
room,
the auto
focusing red light reflector will
automatically
lire in order to determine the
distance.
We recommend thal you use a tripod to hold the
camera steady
when taking pictures under dark
conditions.
