Symptoms
Your computer does not respond.
The computer does not start from the device you want.
The connected external device does not work.
The operating system does not start.(Only applicable to
Windows 10)
Solution
Reset the information of the hard disk in BIOS
appropriately.
If it is the case, contact After-Sales Service of Lenovo.
Solution
To turn off your computer, press and hold the power
button for at least 4 seconds.
The computer enters sleep mode and may be locked
during communication operations. Disable the sleep timer
when you are using the network.
Ensure that the BIOS boot order (boot device priority) is
set in the BIOS Setup Utility so that the computer starts
from the desired device.
Also, make sure that the device from which the computer
starts is on. In the Boot menu of the BIOS Setup Utility,
make sure the desired device is included in the Boot
Device Priority list.
Do not connect or disconnect devices to non-USB ports
when the computer is turned on as this may damage the
computer.
When using a high-power external device (such as a USB
optical drive), use the external device power adapter.
Otherwise, the device may not be recognized or the
system may shut down.
If your computer is installed with an Optane memory:
• Check that the Optane memory card has not been
removed.
• Check the Optane memory card for damage using the
diagnostic tool that is preinstalled on your computer.
